Item Description

THESE ARE NOT PINE NEEDLES You are bidding on all natural palm seed stems.  There are 3 bundles and the stems range from 21-31 inches with the majority between 20-26.  These bundles combined weigh close to 3 1/2 pounds and can be used in a variety of weaving projects.  I have seen these used in coil baskets rather than pine needles and they look beautiful.  My mom has pictures of the baskets in her store that we have made using this material (Bear Bay Weavers) and I also have a few in my store as well.  When I weave with these, I soak them first and usually soak as much as I need at that time.  The longer you soak the material, the darker it gets.  You can dry wet material and save for another project (make sure it is dry before storing).  I have placed a pencil and a pine needle in the picture to give you a better idea of the thickness.  One bundle is a nice gold color, one has a red tint to it, and the other is a little darker with grey tips.  I have listed pine needles in the search to hopefully provide a new material for coil weavers (sorry if there is any confusion in the advertisement!).  If you have any questions about the material please don't hesitate to ask!
